Uncertain Stories – Landscape

Government-Controlled pottery is a general term for ceramics manufactured under government control as the situation worsened during the Pacific War, restricting the types and quantities of tableware that could be produced.
As if to add a little color as much as possible, monochromatic teacups and bowls, they are painted with scenes such as pine forests and boats floating on the water. How did people view landscape during wartime? The landscape floats aimlessly in the polished aluminum box, creating a distorted view as it is reflected. Hidden inside the box is a landscape painting painted in an entirely different time and place.
