Solo Exhibition “Uncertain Stories”

Jun Homma / Uncertain Stories
eitoeiko is pleased to announce a solo exhibition Uncertain Stories by Jun Homma. It will start from October 4th and will run through 25th. Homma presents works that deliberately generate invisible domains within the visible realm, evoking hidden histories, customs, and social systems that are not contained in visual information. His practice, which targets the assumptions of vision, unfolds across diverse media—sometimes as bodily performance, sometimes as sculpture, and sometimes as installation. The artist believes that the ability to supplement and imagine what is unseen is itself a means of recreating the past and transforming the future. In this exhibition, inorganic cubes are presented like words that designate space. On their surfaces, objects such as clocks, tableware, and sculptures—differing in period and provenance —are arranged as if floating upon waves. By releasing time and gravity, Homma attempts to generate new narratives concerning human traces and their invisibility and uncertainty.
