I installed a sinking boat in an artificial pond in the venue, Luxelake CPI. From the pond, where the work was installed, one could see the skyscrapers that symbolize the development of Chengdu, China. The old-fashioned boat, covered on one side with mirrors, reflects the light, the surrounding scenery, and the viewer. It reflects the “now” and at the same time eroded by the “now”. The pond, placed with boats that remain motionless while suggesting their disappearance, became a scene that could be said to be a counter to the ever-developing megalopolis.
